Artist Suzette Fram makes a bold statement with her bright and colorful contemporary abstract paintings. Her work is about exploring color, contrast and shapes, and the way that these elements interact together to form a work that is pleasing to the eye and mind, while maintaining a strong impact visually.

“After painting realistically for a few years, I no longer wanted to represent objects or scenes, but rather emotion, imagination, courage. So my work became more and more abstract. I aim to push the envelope, to answer the question: how far can I go and still maintain beauty and elegance in the work. Answering that question is an ongoing quest.”
A painter for the last 20 years, Suzette is a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists, the Garibaldi Art Club of Maple Ridge and the Group of Nine Art Group. Her work has been shown in many juried and open shows. She also sells her work from her website at www.SuzetteFram.com. She works on her acrylic paintings from her studio in Maple Ridge, BC.
